This Dennison cased Omega reference 13337 is a great example of how fantastic design meets superb quality. The oversized 35mm 9k yellow gold case with integrated downtown lugs shows a subtly English influence on a classic design. The elegant two-tone silver dial accented with gold gilt arabic numerals for even hours and relief arrow indices for the odd hours, and topped off with the Omega logo at 12. The gold hour & minute dauphine hands and blue seconds hand currently installed are the service parts installed by Omega during the service, and the original handset, consisting of gold double alpha hour & minute and blue seconds hand, is securely packaged and included along with the watch. But it is also the movement inside that sets this watch apart. It houses the Omega Caliber 283, the modern nomenclature for the famed Omega 30SC movement. In 1943, Henri Kneuss, assistant technical manager to Henri Gerber, created Omega’s first red gilt caliber, and it was used by the maker until the late 1960s.

The unpolished case sides of the case and bezel have light signs of wear. The strap and buckle are new, as well as the crystal and crown. All new parts were supplied by Omega during service, and all original parts still accompany the watch (hands, crown, crystal, etc.).

The case is clearly, completely, and correctly hallmarked. It bears the hall mark for Dennison as well as the company name, along with the .375 9 karat gold fineness hallmark, the Birmingham assay office hallmark, and the year hallmark of 1950. In addition, the last three digits of the case serial number from the case back are stamped into the case frame, proving that the components belong together. With a movement serial number dating production to 1949, after which it was sent to England for casing, this makes for a highly correct watch.

The watch was just fully serviced by the Omega factory in Switzerland. Please note that movement and inside case back photos were taken prior to service, the watch was not opened after service. Needless to say, the movement is perfect, and the watch performs as new in every respect.

This watch is covered for two years by Omega following the full factory service, and Horology411 is proud to Guarantee this watch with the Longest Warranty in Certified Pre-Owned Watches, 3 Years from the time of purchase.
